書家 吉美の桂子
4歳の頃より書家・圭舟先生に師事。ひらがなより先に漢字を覚える。
集中力の源は、お菓子。
「上手に字を書けば、お菓子がもらえる！」
村ではあまり見かけない「都会のお菓子」も多く、いつしか「書 ＝ 幸せ」となり、やがて「書でみんなに幸せを」という感性に至る。それが今の桂子先生の口癖、「プチハッピーをみんなに！」につながったのだろう。
子供の頃から桂子先生の「書」は村の内外で「福書」とも呼ばれ、命名書や看板、座右の銘などの依頼は数知れず。そして、本当に桂子先生のことを知っている人は、今でも依頼の際に「美味しいお菓子」の差し入れを欠かさない。
またある人は、桂子先生のことを「会える座敷童」とも呼び、書だけでなく笑顔や会話でも周りを「プチハッピー」にする。
そんな桂子先生の書を、時には真摯に、時にはカジュアルに楽しんでもらえる場所としてこのお店が始まりました。

About Calligrapher Keiko
Keiko began studying calligraphy at the age of four under the guidance of Master Keishu, learning kanji even before hiragana.
Her secret to focus? Sweets.
“If I write well, I get a treat!”
Many of the snacks she received were rare and exciting “city sweets” that weren’t found in her countryside village. Over time, the young Keiko came to associate calligraphy with happiness. This grew into a heartfelt wish to “share happiness through writing,” which today lives on in her favorite saying: “A little happy for everyone!”
Even as a child, Keiko’s calligraphy was beloved both within and beyond her village, often referred to as “fuku-sho” — writing that brings good fortune. She has created countless name plaques, signs, and inspirational phrases. Those who know her well still bring her delicious sweets when they request her work — an unspoken tradition that continues to this day.
Some even affectionately call her a “real-life zashiki-warashi” — a bringer of good luck — not just for her calligraphy, but for the warmth of her smile and the joy in her conversations.
We hope to create a space where people can experience Keiko’s calligraphy in many ways — sometimes deeply and sincerely, other times more playfully and casually.
Her works are both authentic and infused with her gentle spirit — truly one of a kind.

猫の目を持つ写真家。
独特の感性で現実世界から感性に訴える一瞬を切り取る。
ケント氏曰く、写真とは「ねえ、見て見て！ こんな面白い一コマを見つけたの！」の精神なんだとか。その一コマのために、猫のように今日もあちこち歩き散る。
また、桂子先生の影響で独自の書「にゃん書」も、気が向くと書く。猫の書だけに、書くのか書かないのか、気儘なものである。
